New member:Got valve spring question

I have a 96 Z with LT1. Basically stock(cold air intake only upgrade). Putting 1.6 roller rockers in and LT4 hot cam but don't know what springs to use. Don't want to go to radical because it's daily driver and don't want to mod computer. Also, 58mm Throttle body? Will I have to change injectors?

No, you don't need new injectors. If you want the hot cam, why not get the whole kit? It's a pretty good deal and comes complete with cam, rockers, springs, retainers, etc.

I agree, it is a good deal.

If you are buying used parts (like a hotcam) then there are some inexpensive alternatives for springs.

Why would you not have the proper tune if you do go with the cam swap? Even on your car "as is" you would benefit from having your computer tweaked. Do it right and you will be happy with the results. And no, you do not need a larger TB.

No need for a larger TB, the stock 48mm isn't a restriction at your HP level.

Ditto on the TB. You don't need it.
