New to LT1

I bought a 94 Z28 a week ago that was running very bad. I looked up some information before buying it and assumed the problem was the optispark. I replaced the optispark, wires, coil and plugs and it runs great. I dont know if anything has been done mechanically to it and I know it has 2:73 gears and the 4L60E auto transmission. I can nail it at 30 MPH and the tires break loose . Is this normal for a stock LT1?

in colder weather, on stockish tires its not out of the ordinary for LT1's to break loose. Doing a tune up like that is a great way to make sure your car is running great. ALso look at doing a tranny/rear end/and engine oil service, PCV, fuel filter, air filter. Get it running 100% and then you can mod the crap out of it

Re: New to LT1

I hope your LT1 experience is as good as mine. I love driving this car. You can light up the tires anytime I want. Even with a 2.73 rear. Enjoy the LT1!
