New lifters worth it??

My brother bought an Edelbrock Performer RPM cam w/ lifters a while back and he's never going to use any of it. Would it be worth it to put those lifters on my car without the cam? Mods are in sig, but basically a stock cam/head LT1 w/bolt ons. They might not even fit an LT1, just says that they work with 350's. Just kind of wondering.
Thanks

I would save them for if you decide to upgrade your valvetrain and a cam. Unless there is a problem with your stock lifters, then they are functioning fine and changing out to JUST aftermarket lifters without doing any other work in there would be a waste of your time.

You did mean lifters right? Not rocker arms?

Edit: I should have asked you what kind of lifters they were before I told you to keep them.

I wouldn't put anything that says edelbrock into my LT1, but that's just me. Probably the same as OEM, but I just don't trust their stuff for the LT1. I had it all over my BBC, though. Weird.

I wasn't even aware Edelbrock made a lifter set to work with the LT1s, never heard of anyone on here using their set.

I agree, when a LT1 with the complete eldelbrock package(cam, heads, headers, tb) put mid 280's to the wheels I'd pass on anything Edelbrock for the LT1.

Ok thats all i needed to know. I'm in the process of getting a 396 put together and I don't want to spend any extra cash to make the stock engine faster. I've just been looking for some little "free" ways to scavenge any more power out of what I've already got until the new motor is ready because it will be a while. Thanks

Nope, save your money and leave it stock for now. Then you sell the full stock longblock to recoup some cash.
