The new Jethot installation world record!
The new Jethot installation world record!
Total installation time 1hr and 20 minutes.
I did the install by myself... went in smoother than my edel junks... and I didn't even need to remove the spark plugs.
Method used... unbolted engine mount one at a time... and lifted the engine on a tilt and slid it in... driverside went throug on bottom passenger slid in on top. H3ll the only tiem consuming thing was getting those engine mount bolts out... that cost me half an hour right there... otherwise it was a cake job... so lets see 2 1/2 hours removal of old jeaders... 1 20 on the new install 3hr/50 minutes not bad.... by yourself... lots of fun.

That was pretty fast man It took me... a lot longer than that... but you did start out the header swap with headers already on there.... I assume they are easier to uninstall than manifolds only because I can uninstall my longtubes faster than I could ever take out my stock manifolds.

Re: The new Jethot installation world record!
I wouldnt say that too loud, someone might kidnap you and you'll wake up in someones garage with a set of tools in your hand and a note that reads "install this". lol
Re: The new Jethot installation world record!
WOW! I spent 2.5 hours getting the manifolds off and then 1 hour and 7 minutes getting the long tubes in. Went straight through the top, both sides. The only reason it took me that long was because I didnt have any connectors hooked up and I have no hvac (the big hugh thing on the passenger side firewall) and no power steering.
Thats awesome for you though!

congrats on the LT install, notice much in ride?
Re: The new Jethot installation world record!
Wow that is one fast install. I went through the same procedure on my 69 GTO and the removal/installation took almost 16 hours! It is much harder to get to the bolts on a Pontiac motor though. Did you notice a lot of ground clearance loss with the lt's? I was considering them for my camaro but don't want to lose a lot of ground clearance, so I was considering shorties.

*bowing*
Thank you Thank you...
No I didn't get a chance to test drive... still waiting for my o2 extensions... and my lifters.. since my valvetrains halfway apart... but these things look pretty cool under the hood...
Taking the edelbrocks off was just as annoying with the rusybolts. but I usually take them off when I change plugs (yes the clearance is that bad) so taking them off was routine.
The jet hots look cool too bad they're scuffed up now
Clearance I think is going to be doozy... The Jet hots seem to sit as low as the Spohn TQ arm... and that sucker has some road rash... so I doubt the Jet hots will stay pretty for long. I might have to raise the car up a bit more.. if I can.
