New hotcam times inside

What's up everyone? I just got to the track 2 nights ago with my new vigilante stall and a transmission that actually shifts. I have a stock bottom end (130,xxx), stock heads w/ bigger valves and a clean up job, stock intake, throttle body, injectors, etc. Just have bolt ons. But i pulled a 12.28 @ 110.3 w/ a 1.75 60 ft. time. I think I can get a better 60 ft. time out of the converter, but I just have to drive on it some more to figure out the best way to launch. Then decided to spray a 150 shot. With pressure way down (need a bottle heater), I got 11.33 @ 118.83 w/ a 1.53 60 ft. time. I actually pulled the wheel off the ground. It was so bad a$$. I'm putting skinnies on it and getting a bottle heater and going searching for 10's on a hotcam kit car. Thanks for letting me brag.

Thanks, the hotcam is overlooked alot of times. People don't realize the potential of such a "small cam". Great driveability and great at the track. I'm happy with it.

Do you guys think I could more out of my NX kit, with the bottle heater???
I want 10's, bad!!!

Get the heads ported and you just might make it to the 10's. Those are some killer times on stock heads.

Thtas rolling. I really liked my Hotcam but was wanting something more. I gained over 3tenths by swapping to a custom grind. Later

I enjoyed the hot cam when I had it as well! I went 7.8@87 w/ a 1.6 60' w/ stock heads, stall, LT's and Borla, oh, and 3.73's. I haven't been able to run in the 1/4 yet.

I have the CC306 in there right now, and I love the lope! A lot harder to mind manners, but a lot of fun!

The HOT cam rocks, and is severily underrated.

NICE times!

Oh, I had to read it twice to realize this was on nitrous, heh.... I was gonna say.... heh.

Anyway, that's OK... w/ nitrous you should be able to run 11's with that cam.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. It makes me feel alot better about the time and money I put into this little project. I'm going back as soon as I can and I'm going huntin for 10's. I also need some sub-frame connectors, I'm going to twist the damn thing in half.

Do you guys think I should have gained more than 8 mph on a 150 shot?? I want to know if I have more potential with the bottle.
