The New guess the motor output *reward*

5 dollar reward to the person who guesses the hp closest to the actual peak. And 5 dollars to the person who guesses tq closest to the actual peak number. Guessing over is fine. Decided to do it this way since its easier for me to figure out! Guessing corrected RWHP and RWTQ from a dynojet after a dynotune. Any votes from the previous thread do not count, must post in this thread to get the prize!

1995 Z28

6 Speed, 3.42 gears, stock clutch, 10bolt, 245/50/16

383 cubic inches with 5.7" rods

Full dyno tune

Heads:
  • Lloyd Elliott ported
  • flowed 28" on his bench, 4.125 bore i believe
  • 195cc intake runner
  • milled .006

.100 64.2 47.8
.200 132.8 92.3
.300 188.6 134.5
.400 237.7 160.0
.500 267.1 179.1
.550 277.8 186.9
.600 279.0 191.7

Cam:
  • 230/236/112
  • .544/.555 on 1.6 rockers

Jethot LTs to a 3" ypipe into a borla

10.7-10.8 compression ratio

Moroso CAI, Trickflow elbow, Ported LT1 intake

I decided to stay with the 230/236 after i talked to Seth, we discussed it a little bit, and he has made 420/445 or something like that with this cam. Also that the trade offs were not worth the money/power. Going to a bigger cam might net 5-10hp more at peak, but low end would suffer more, and the money spent upgrading springs.

Please post only guesses in this thread, makes it much easier to go back through and see who won. Post other stuff in the other thread.

Do the heads look like they will make some good power? Theres be lots of talk over this.

I mean, when the car just had a baseline tune from pcmforless, these heads and this cam, and hell, probably 4 cylinders losing compression from the head gasket deal, i put 3 car lengths on a 383 1970 camaro, which had a big cam, nice nice heads, auto/big stall

so i guess we'll see!
