New Engine Or Rebuild

Well i have realized my engine may not make it too much longer so i was wondering should i get it rebuilt and then just add some new things to the rebuilt like a stronger cam and heads or just go out and get an LS1. If i do get an ls1 is it a hard swap to do into a 96 or is it relatively easy. Also how much does it usually cost to have someone do it.

As engine swaps go, an LS1 is easy. But it is time consuming to gather all the necessary bits and pieces and some of them are not cheap. So, unless it is a DIY project I wouldn't consider it. Just too expensive. IF one were going to do it, the easiest way would be to have wrecked donor car.
