New engine and 4 DTC's!!!!!!!!!

So my LT1 broke a main cap. I got a full rebuild. I.E.(fully forged, new crank,JE pistons, 355, balanced, blueprinted, whole 9 yards etc). Car has new Optispark, plugs, wires, ICM, O2's, Coil, everything. It also has a dynotune. Car is ****ING UP. Throwing codes 16, 41, 42, and 51......Basically i am exhausted. My father and I have put our blood sweat and tears into this car... We are at a loss... Including the price of the car we have spent well over 20,000.......... We realize that we are comitted now, because if I tried to sell the car now I could only get maybe 6,000...and that is with a new paint job and ZR1's.... So i just need to fix my baby. ANY, help appreciated... I know its probably a wiring issue. My only plans are this...

1) Buy a new wiring harness
2) Buy a new computer

Thats all I can think of... Please help me.. I am at a complete loss right now...

Well obviously you're not considering throwing in the towel, and bravo at that! These cars can be quite the chore, but the feeling you'll get when it's all better is... well.... priceless. Hang in there! So:

DTC 16 shows up as System Voltage Discharge (low battery) - maybe a bad connection to the battery or alternator, or bad alternator voltage regulator

DTC 41/42 is Ignition control error/ignition control bypass error - check your wiring at the ignition control module, may need replacing of the module or the coil

DTC 51 is Prom Error which I know is sometimes known to get thrown in the tuner circles for faulty programming. It is highly likely this is a result of your "dynotune". Did you actually get the car running good at one time or is this on initial startup??? Explain more of what you mean by "dynotune".

jonata, 16 is a low resolution code for the opti.

quicksilver, sounds like an opti related problem. Either the opti or the harness that connects it. I would look at the harness, first. All the other codes can be manifested when the code 16 appears. I have seen it posted many times.

Re: New engine and 4 DTC's!!!!!!!!!

I'm on my 3rd opti...... This one is only like 2K old. The ICM was replaced 10K ago. The guy that dynotuned my car has been tuning it for over a year on 3 different sittings i.e. after full bolt ons, after cam, and now after 355 and heads. Haven't had any problems with his tuning before. What do I mean by dynotune? He hooks it up to the dyno wideband and tunes it to a good A/F ratio... Dunno how else to explain it. Like i said i dunno what to do.
