Well lets get an offical thread going on for this piece. Edelbrock has pictures of it online, and they say its comming..... But we all know thats going to be a while. I would like ( and im sure many others) would like this mainifold to be MORE than just an air gap style of the stock manifold. And since its going to be a while before they release the product ( and since I head they tried to make one before but it provided no gains and they canned it), is there a way we can all get ideas we would like to see in this new manifold and get them to Edelbrock before they release it and show that we have people interested in buying it.

2 things I know people want upgraded are the main plenum volume, and the injector placing..... What other things would you like changed, and how could we get these Ideas to them?

If they are far enough along to have it announced, and have pictures up, my guess is that any suggestions that you get to them are going to be too late. You could always get their contact info and just call them up. Be persistent though, you might have to talk to a few people before you get to someone that knows about this particular intake.

I see you are not optimistic about this comming out, BUT thats why I made this thread. Lets get everyone who wants one of these together and get our Ideas together as well and letting Edelbrock know that we are interested and that we will buy them if they are priced right and offer a performance increase, not just an air gaped stock manifold.

 

I could care less. I'm at the point where I dont believe anything until it's actually on the shelves. I just want to know will it be better than my ported LT4 intake manifold.

Yeah. I heard they stopped making them this why people are selling them on ebay for rape-me prices. Some people are making 5x's what theyre worth.

 

I too would like to see one with more plenum volume. I saw they had 2 part #s so far, one for LT1s, one for LT4s, both emissions compatable. I say they should add a 3rd part # that is not emissions legal, but is perhaps a little taller to accomodate a larger plenum volume. I know it won't happen, probably for several reasons (engineering and tooling cost and what not) just wishful thinking

 

We should petition Holley to make an HSR for our cars. Bret's turned out pretty neat lookin.

 

I would love to see a new intake out. Our cars have a lot more potential, but the intakes are killing us. I have been talking to Bret about his intake setup, and it looks much more effecient than LT1 LT4 intakes. It doesn't look like they are increasing the intake runner length are they?
