NEW DYNO #'S (still needs improvement)

some of you may remember earlier i dyno'd 220.7 hp and 255.6 tq with the mods in my sig. today i dyno'd again at 280.2 hp and 328.1 tq. the car is running very rich. at 2500 rpm the AFR is at about 12.5, and continues on a downward slope to about 10.5 at 5500 rpms. Torque is basically flat with a slight upward slope from about 310 at 2500 and peaks at 328 around 4200. HP, however, rounds off at about 4500 and flattens out. it is basically a flat line from 5000 to 5800. How can i lean the car out? What would cause it to run so rich? I do have an SES, and it came up as an EGR malfunction. any help is appreciated.

Well did you take off your egr when you do your long tubes or something? If so you probably need to have it programmed out of your pcm. Then you should get the 2 block off plates for the back of the intake. This should take care of your problem. I was having a similar problem to this.

I think your EGR is stuck open. It is causing unburned fuel to enter the exhaust, messing with your O2 readings. Try pulling your EGR off and cleaning it off with carb cleaner and a soft brissle toothbrush. Goos luck,

Not really. There are 2 bolts on opposite sides. I think they are 12 mm or 1/2", I can't remember. Even though you would be doing it blind, ythere is actually a bit of room to work with. Just make sure you are careful with the gasket when you take it off. I just reused my old one and did not have any problems. Once it is off, spary the shaft and inside pretty good with Carb cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes. Then use the toothbrush and clean as well as you can. replace the EGR in the same fashion and you should be set. Hope this helps,

Kyle
