New dyno #'s
New dyno #'s
Well a new local shop had a dyno day, and I figured why not go for it. 3 pulls for 50 bux, no wideband o2 though.
Here are my old numbers before the delteq and madz28.com tune... (Dyno Jet)http://www.v8havoc.com/rides/gm/dynorun7-17.jpg
And here are my new numbers, with the the delteq and tune.
These runs were peformed on a Mustang Dyno. The second run was performed in a dynojet simulation mode (no load on the rollers). According to my Scanmaster I was pulling 4 degreese KR. I think that was due to my exhaust leak though.

I am happy with the numbers. And will be heading back to the dyno again once my I get my duals redone. And I think I will run a little 100 octane, to see if it helps.
My thoughts......
If you compare the two dyno's you will notice my hp is still climbing. I really think the delteq has alot to do with it. Because after the tune and delteq I notice more top end. And the car went from a 13.8 @101 to 13.3 @ 104. Now my question is this. Do most full bolt-on lt1's keep gaining more hp to 6k on stock cam and heads? If so, can you post your dyno graphs?
Now, in the past I always read how lt1's on stock cam and heads, hp curve starts to drop off after 4k. I think think this is due to the opti, and single coil, not being able to produce the spark it needs beyond 4500 rpms.
What do you guys think? Any LTCC or Delteq owners find the same thing in their dyno runs?
Mike

Re: New dyno #'s
I know what your saying about stock LT1 falling off after 4500 b/c of the ignition, my did the same then I got a full MSD ignition along with a new opti and the car woke up above 4500 it pulled hard all the way to I hit the rev limiter @ ~5800. And I picked up 2 .10 and 2 mph consistantly and the car was just getting faster every run. That night I went from a 14.0 @105 to a 13.6, to a 13.5 and the last run was a 13.4@106. And my previous best was a 13.6@104.
Re: New dyno #'s
cool man, thanks for sharing.
GM High Tech Performance is suppost to run Project Snowball on a dyno when they are finished. They said they will do a run with and without the delteq. I am very interested to see the results.

Re: New dyno #'s
Can you folks please post your bolt-on only dyno graphs please?

Re: New dyno #'s
To tell you honestly, I've seen people come out with numbers a little on the high side from that shop.
I don't want to discourage you or anything, but I think the "better" numbers people got are sort of an incentive. Just my opinion though.

Re: New dyno #'s
Oh yea I agree, especially in dynojet mode. Somthing don't seem right for some of the guys cars there.
But I think 288rwhp and 291 rwtq sounds pretty accurate, and they seem to match up to what I'm running at the track too.
But I'm more or less interested looking at everyones hp curves on bolt on's.
