trying to start the beast up after a 2 month heads and cam swap. i bought a new delco starter it sounded like it made some noise at first then nothing, it got real worm around the big part and HOT around the small part where the wires go. i took off both wires a reatached them and nothing. battery is a brand new yellow top. radio and everything come on. but nothing from the starter.

 

Take it out/off and see if it spins freely. Possibly something in your motor is binding.
