new cold air induction
Hey Guys,
I would like to change the location of my Spectre Conicle air
filter to a much cooler location. My lt1 is nestled in a 38 ford engine compartment. Right now the filter lies directly over the driver side valve cover. Much too hot of an area. I spoke to a tech. advisor @ Spectre and
he suggested the location to be changed to a lower position behind the
front radiator grill. His set-up illuminates the metal plenum with a flexible
rubber 90 degree coupler. With this set-up I would have to re-locate the
I.A.T. sensor. Not sure if it makes a difference whether it can go before or
after the Mass Air Flow sensor. Any suggestions?

Re: new cold air induction
The IAT should be close to the TB for an accurate reading. If you are positive the air is not affected by heatsoak in the intake tract, then anywhere that is convenient should be ok.
