New camaro = forgotten Lt1?

I'm just worried that when the new camaro comes out will they push out the LT1 and stop making parts for LT1's. I don't want the LT1 being like the Tune Port or TBI motors. And aftermarket people might stop as well. Plus it will lower the value of the LT1 since there making new camaro's. :-(

The small block has been around forever. Sure, the aftermarket will taper off, but I doubt it'll disppear entirely. Most everything on the LT1 is interchangeable anyway to the SBC.

They never did much for LT1's in the first place......

Who cares...its an outdated boat anchor anyway. And all the cars they came in are falling aprt POS. So just go buy a new one.

New ones seem to be getting uglier by the day.
You're right about the aftermarket... which makes me realize all the LT1 combo related bickering we've all done past and present isn't going to be worth a **** in the next 5 years if not earlier.

To mdacton

If you diss LT1 why do you have one?
Not my fault you don't know how to build a good LT1. Actually there is a lot of stuff still out for the LT1 and there still featured in Chevy and other car mags. We will just find out when the day comes. Thats true what the other guy said there gettin uglier as they go on with the camaro's

And also most of teh LT1 cars are not fallin apart. There is no rust under my car but a couple of my friends that have LS1 have rot in the rear wheel well and the frame near the front air dam I have the orig paint it looks good and we know how GM paint sucks

I don't care what happens when the new motor comes out. The leghumpers will move on. Soon they will have something to ridicule on the ls1 like our optispark that they can blow out of proportion to hold over someones head. Not that anyone really cares.

The aftermarket for LT1's is pretty much non-existent right now so I don't think we have much to worry about.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, there are still vendors out there who cater to the LT1 crowd just as there are still some vendors left still taking care of the third gen crowd.

I don't know, it seems that alot of the magazine coverage usually involves the optispark or simple bolt-ons.

The guys that have built fast LT1's (such as mdacton) have earned the right to "diss" them. Sorry.
