New/Aftermarket MAF

Is it worth installing an aftermarket MAF on a stock LT1? Future mods, bolt ons mostly. Does it really gain you any Hp, alot of people I have talked to say its a waste of time and $$. But, if it is worth it, which one is the best on the market? Granetelli, Jet, SLP..ect...

Re: New/Aftermarket MAF

Keep the stocker, and keep the screen in it. It's good for huge amounts of HP. The Granatelli MAY gain HP by leaning out the WOT A/F ratio. You could have a custom tune that would GUARANTEE the same 15HP gain, and it would only cost you about 1/3 of what the Granatelli costs. "Tuners" hate aftermarket MAF sensors, because they are so unreliable when it comes to calibration.

not sure, but i hear that the computer will re-adjust back to it's normal a/f ratio after a short time..basically making maf useless. i agree with the others and would just go with the tune.
