new ac compressor and it flinging out oil?
I got a new ac compressor in july. Friend put it in. They evacuated/refilled the system. Ran great for two weeks. then it started to not be so cold and cycled on and off. I figured it was a hose and would fix it in the spring since it was end of august. Well....today I popped the hood just too see where this whirring sound was coming from and saw thick clear oil on the outer lip of the ac comp pulley! It has a year warranty, and is brand new. I am pretty sure the compressor seal is shot, since it barely works when the ac is on, and according to my scanner the clutch is rarely engaged when on. The pressure never goes above 170.
My question is should i just get a pop a new one in again (via warranty) or delete it? It is a daily driver, so i am not sure about the delete since it gets hella hot here, that and the defrost.
If i remove it will it make a plug/wire change easier? I will be doing it in soon anyways...

if it is cloning out around tehe hub sounds like the front seal went out.. lemme ask you this.. did you
1 put the right amount of oil in the new compressor. (some come filled some come empty usualy takes 9 ounces)
2 vacuum the system before you charged it
3 overcharge the system when it was filled
4 make sure that the fans, condensor, high prssure switches were working correctly?
why did you have to replace it to begain with? usualy if you eat up a compressor you need a new reciver/drier and a good flush to get all the trash out
