New 383 will not idle

So i finally got my car running a few weeks ago. It felt good however it sometimes took a few seconds longer to start (no big deal). Well i went on vacation ( I disconnected the battery while away). Car sat for 11 days and now it wont idle. While im on the gas it feels fine however as soon as i let off the car drops to 1K for a few seconds then goes to 500 and then just dies. It starts back up and idles until i hit the gas. After hitting the gas again it drops back down and dies. Any ideas..

Have you checked the IAC valve? Check the IAC passages to make sure they are clean. Using a scanner, check the IAC "counts" to make sure the IAC isn't max'd out and unable to supply sufficient idle air. Just watching the PCM's attempts to modulate the IAC valve, using a scanner or scan software may show you what is happening.
