New 355 installed...Will not start!
Okay I got the engine completely installed and it will not start. It cranks but wont hit a lick.
I have fuel pressure according to the pressure gage on the rail.
Fuel injectors with key on have 12+, however I dont see any flashing when cranking. I have the bulb tool across the two leads of the injector.
I have triple checked the opti and plug wires, all good.
All sensors appear to be hooked up.
I do not have the cooling fans installed. Could that be it?
Fuses good.
I did have the PCM removed from the car for several weeks, could that be it?
Please help, I desperately need to get this project wrapped up.

Are you sure the opti is on correctly? When i first did my motor swap i installed the opti one hole off. It wouldn't start at all. I put it back on correctly and she fired right up. You might try spraying starting fluid into the intake and see if it tries to start. If it does start you know its a fuel problem if it doesn't then its a spark issue.
If you do pull the opti try starting it before you put the waterpump and everything else on. I always try to do this whenever possible. Just install the opti and see if it'll start up. Then shut it off immediately after you know it'll run since you won't have any water flowing. It prevents you from installing your waterpump and all that stuff just to find out the opti isn't on right.
Update,
Pulled the opti and it was right on.
The cam has been degreed by two professionals and is dead on.
I am now getting a few muflled "bu-bu-bu" noises which sound like some firing is trying to happen as soon as turn the key back from the start position.
The only thing left to do is try some starting fluid but that will have to wait till tomorrow.
I feels like the injectors are not releasing fuel. The injectors are used, I bought them off e-bay. Maybe someone screwed me.

You did shorten/check the dowel pin on the cam correct? I would leave the waterpump and stuff off until you get it running. That way if you need to check the opti and other stuff its just less you have to pull back off.
I have left the water pump off till I get it to first fire, good advice.
Also all the valves are 1/8" past zero lash.

Its got very good spark, done checked.
When I pull the plug I smell what I think is gas but it is not very strong. I dont see how you can not have good compression on a brand new never been run engine. It seems to me if I had to guess the injectors are not dumping fuel.
These injectors are the red SVO injectors, I bought them used off ebay.
How do I test these things for good operation?

I talked to my engine builder and he is not placing blaming but is a bit concerned about the LE 1.5 camshaft. Maybe its a bad grind.
I am also gonna get a noid light to put on the injector harnesses tomorrow.
