Need suggestion on front brakes

It's time again to replace my brakes and I want to upgrade. I wasn't wanting to spend alot of money but I want some better performing brakes if I am going to replace them anyway. Here is what I have thought of:

Green stuff pads $100/set
Power slot rotors $85/rotor

So that comes to about $270. I was wondering if some one had a better suggestion that was still in this price range. Thanks!

you can upgrade your brake system to that of the Ls1, on ebay they sell for around 150 bucks which includes everything you need, you would however have to buy rotors and pads, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...430535114heres 1 example

I second that. I think it's not worth investing money in the stock front brakes. Just go with the LS1 brakes, you'll be glad you did.

I really appreciate the help. I just talked to Billy Graham's camaro salvage yard about the upgrade. He said that he has done the upgrade to his personal car and that I would need to replace the steering knuckle too. His price is $50/caliper and $85/steering knuckle. I don't think the ebay item had the steering knuckle (honestly I can't really picture what one looks like)

What is your opinion on this? Good price, bad price? Thanks for your help!!!

That's a bit expensive.

You will need.

2 spindles
2 knuckles
2 calipers
brake bads
2 rotors
abs sensors
brake lines

You can get them for ~$250 on this board.
And yes, the ebay ones included the knuckles.

dont buy anything from billy graham's, he's way to expensive on his parts, the link to the ebay item is all you need to do the conversion, just look and see if ones for sale

Don't waste money on cross drilled or slotted rotors-all they will do is add bling. Decent replacement blanks are the best. Hawk HPS are nice pads and Hawk HP+ are excellent if you're hard on brakes. With HP+ pads I can lock up my race tires (Kumho Victoracers Treadwear rating=50) on the autocross course and they make no noise but dust a bit. The HPS are quiet and dust very little and could lock up my street tires w/o fade. $55 for HPS's and 75 or so for HP+'s. I'm on LT1 brakes.
