hey i was just wondering if there is some kind of governor i can manipulate to get past 120 mph. It just seems to top out once it hits 120.

Does it feel like you're hitting a limiter at 120, or does the car just quit pulling?? If it hit's a limiter, then a hypertech or a tune could take care of the limiter. If it just quits pulling, you may have deeper issues.

You would tell if it was hitting a limiter. Well you should know. How does it act at 120??? I notice your new to the board. WELCOME! You will learn a lot here and learn to live by this board as I and many others have. I didn't know squat about my car. The next hing you know I built my own engine without this board I doubt I would or could have ever done it. Anyway you need to put up a signature (note on the bottom of your car) so we know what year and model you have.

LT1's had the option of having Z rated tires come stock or not. If that option was not checked they weren't shipped with Z rated tires and come with a 120mph "governator", Any performance tune or programmer will get rid of it

if you have an auto and are at 100% throttle at 120, i dont believe a 4L60E tranny will go past it. u have to be some where around 70% i think, but i could be wrong.

If your car has a 155 speedo it should have come from the factory with z rated tires and be able to do 155+.

If not you have the 110 speedo you need a tune or hypertech to remove it.

Only the older 700r trannies wouldnt shift into 4th( over drive) at 100% you had to let off.

You got the 460le and it will shift into 4th at wot(wide open throttle). trust me i got one

i might be off here but i thought the z28 option meant z rated tires, a 155 speedo, and an lt1. you guys have me second guessing.

The Z28 option doesn't have anything to do with z rated tires. The Z28 model is the V8 version of the Camaro (at least in the 4th gens).
