Need some valvetrain advice (847)
Guys,
I'm getting ready to install an 847 in my '93 (94 engine) and I need some advice on valvetrain parts.
I have the cam already.
I have some CM 612 springs and I will order the other stuff this week.
The car is an automatic (700R4) and as I already mentioned, it has a 94 engine I swapped in early this fall.
The heads are and will stay stock. I do not plan to rev it over 6200 RPM.
What else should I get? I was thinking about some 1.6 pro magnums. If I go with the 7/16 stud, is there any extra work to make them work?
Should I go with some Comp R lifters or should I just get a stock replacement set?
How about pushrods? Should I get the more expensive, 1 piece ones or will the cheaper ones do? (I'm looking at CM's page)
I'll probably use a stock replacement timing chain as I have no desire to upgrade to a vented opti or electric waterpump.
What else should I get besides the obvious gasket kit?
Thanks.
