Question Need some major cam help guys...

I got my camshaft installed this weekend but when I go to put my opti back on the dowel pin is just slightly short and the opti will install flush no matter how I put it on. Short of having to pull the cam back out is there anyway I can get the pin out?

P.S. Dont work on your car when you are tired

You want it to sit flush. As long as the pin goes in the hole in the opti far enough to turn it and not slip out,

Well the pin on my stock LT1 cam went in the hole and I could tell if it was not in. The pin on the hotcam I question if it is going in or not b/c I can install the opti with the pin hole opposite of the dowel pin.

Hopefully I am making sense with my explanation.
