i might buy a 94 z28 camaro with 65k miles on it. the owner said that it runs a little rough to start then once it warms up it is fine. anyone know what the problem with that could b? and will a tune up fix it because he said it probably just needs a tune up. thanks
Well to begin with that sounds like really low milage. Is he the original owner? Does he have any paperwork on what was done?
If original owner with so few miles you'd think that he must have really babied it. If that;s the case you'd think that he would have had that fixed.
You'd think. See there it is again "think".
Even with the low miles, if it doesn't run right or look right, then something is amiss.
If after you look at it and drive it and have a qualified mechanic check it out, you still want it then go for it.
Bottom line: If there is something seriously wrong with it you will have no recourse against the seller. I.e. "you're screwed"!
If the seller balks at you having it checked out, run don't walk.
Paying a mech. $50.00 for a check out is better than paying 5 grand to have it rebuilt.JMHO
P.S. there are other cars out there. You just have to look.
