Need some help!!! Lookin for a G2 cold air piece...

I've gotten a hold of a G2 cold air intake but it's missing something. I only found the main piece that's on top (that says "G2" on it). I'm looking for the plastic piece that holds the filter and actually "sucks" the air in. I've already got a K&N, I just need that one piece. Does ANYONE know where I can find one, or anyone have an old kit layin around that they'd like to part with?? For some money, OF COURSE!!

Please let me know, either on here or email: irockyle@neo.tamu.edu

Thanks,

Kyle

This is what I'm looking for. I have the part circled in red, the main part. I need the part circled in yellow. I called LG and asked how much it would be and they quoted me half of what the kit was. But the guy said that my best bet would be to look online. I was thinking the same thing.

i believe you have the elbow correct? i think you need the air box which is the same as stock from what i have heard. That is why the G2 sucks.

This board moves freakin' FAST!! DAYUM

Ok, so what you're telling me is that the guy at LG quoted me $90 dollars for a STOCK piece? I hope not. Yeah, I've got the part that connects to the intake elbow. So the other part in that picture is exactly like my stock piece? Why would they claim to flow the best in the aftermarket then?!?! I need to look into this.

Thanks,
Kyle

Z95m6 - My roomate last year at Texas A&M was from Newton. Do you guys have a lot of F-bodies running around there?

i don't think there is really that many more fbodies here than anywhere else. Although now that the LT1's are getting cheaper more and more are showing up. Who is your roommate? in our town we only have 1 high school so i might know him.

Why not? They want $100 for a 1LE intake elbow.

Well, I called back earlier and the guy said it was NOT stock, that the hole was bigger than stock. They quoted me 50 dollars this time at least, a little better. I got the other piece for 30, so 80 bucks for a CAI isn't to bad I guess. Has no one got one off their old CAI that they don't use anymore??? I'd pay.

Z95m6 - You might, but he doesn't live there now. His family moved to Houston last summer. I think he actually went to school in anover, maybe?? Outside wichita I think. His name is Kacey and he's like 5'4", and he has a twin sister named Alissa.

OK, that's what I figured. Then I need the part directly AFTER the filter.

which of those pieces? If you bought it new, just return it or get the company to send you out a replacement
