Well im currently over here in the desert still and I talked to my dad on the phone, hes drove my car around this year for me to keep it up, it seems that the ses light came on the last time he was in it, i told him about the paperclip trick and then he told me that it flashed up 3,x8, so i looked it up, its high or low resolution pulse, anyone have a clue what this means? and what could be wrong with the car, thanks for any input

 

My Haynes Manual says DTC # 38 is TCC Brake Switch error: Faulty Circuit error TCC switch to ECM/PCM. TCC brake switch stuck OFF. Code #36 is the Faulty High res. pulse or multiple low res. pulse detected. This would be within your ignition system.
