Need recommendations for a new ignition coil!

My car has had a high-RPM miss for the past few months that I thought was the original OPTI. While I was installing my Mallory 685 I pulled the coil wire off the coil and noticed it was corroded and the tower on the coil was extremely pitted. I cleaned it off for now which fixed the problem. The car will pull to 6500 RPM without a stuble. However, I want to get a new coil because this problem will eventually come back. I have heard bad stories about the MSD coil. Are there any other brands I should consider, or should I just get a stock coil from the dealer. If anyone has personal experience with aftermarket coils then I want to hear what you have to say. Thanks in advance.

I have a MSD coil, it works fine. If I had it to do over again I would have just bought an OE (stock) coil. JMO

I and several other locals run the Crane PS-91 and it works well...no complaints here.
