Re: need recommendations
Nice choice! Before I spun a rod bearing, mine was an animal for being a stock long block. I have Edelbrock headers, w/ SLP loudmouth exhaust, a K&N cold air kit, a 52 mm throttle body. LT4 knock module, a B&M ripper shifter. That aught to be a good start. What state are you in? I'd like to have some long tubes myself and a stroker bottom end.
Re: need recommendations
I just rebuilt my 97 myself. Took about a month or so after all of the machine work and ordering parts. I put a comp cams 503 camshaft in mine with magnum roller rockers. I also had the cylinders honed and the crank polished. I used stick pistons and rods with new rings bearings and gaskets. Clouds timing set and long tubes by pacesetter. Had the ecu tuned by Keith at pcmforless.com. made my own catted y pipe that works perfectly. I put in a new water pump and options also. This car is one fast ride. Nice choice. You are seeing less end less f bodies out there. Its nice to see guys resurrecting. These fine GM automobiles. Good luck with your build.
