need recommendation on lt4 heads

I am looking to buy a set of stock lt4 heads from gm performance and I am going to have them ported by a local shop. I want to upgrade the springs and possibly the valves too. Does anyone know where I can buy upgraded springs and valves for stock lt4 heads? Also I think I want to lower my compression ratio, what is the best way to get down to around 9.5? Also while I'm getting the heads done does anyone have any other suggestions on things I should upgrade?

First of all, you need to decide what kind of cam you are going to use before we can give you any recommandations on valve springs.

Also, why do you want to lower your compression that much? Unless you are planning on going forced-induction, that is pretty low, especially for an LT1. But if you really want to lower it, than you might have to get new pistons since the combustion chamber of the LT4 heads are even smaller than the LT1, thus the only way to lower compression ratio that much will be through new pistons.

I think you need to talk someone who is in the business of head porting, such as Lloyd Elliott or Advance Induction on this board. They can port your stock LT1 heads and do a valve job for you, get you a nice matched camshaft and the valve springs, for about the same price you will pay for your stock untouched LT4 heads. And they will perform just as good. Just something to think about. Good luck.

Unfortunately I don't know which model comp cam I currently have, as it was on there when I bought the car and I lost the spec sheet the previous owner gave me.

I do plan on going forced induction, although it won't be in the near future. I am currently using some forged flat top pistons. Should I go dished?

Does Lloyd Elliot have a website? I've heard his name come up a lot but never seen any of his products.
