Need to purchase a new optispark or switch to conventional distributor. Where to go?

Haven't been on here in quite a while, just purchased a 94z that needs an opti. Last time I was on here, Jason Cromer was the goto guy for optis. What's the best place to go now for the quality opti I can get?

Also considering a Vortec distributor with a 2001 Chevy van pcm if this opti deal is too pricey. Any thoughts on that?

Switching to a conventional distributor is far more involved than just changing out a bad opti.

Jason Cromer is still a good source for your opti.

I know I have to repin the connector for the pcm and everything. I'm still debating. Thanks for the heads up though, and thanks for letting me know about Jason!

Anyone have his contact info they could maybe PM me?

Converting to LS1-style ignition is an option too:

This is your best option, but will also be the most expensive.

LS1 deal is not gonna happen. I'm gonna go the Vortec Distributor route.

Why are you asking us?

Shouldn't you be asking the guys that built this?

Something just doesn't seem right.

You think you're going to switch to an entirely different distributor and you don't even know how to disconnect a horn?

I still say something is bogus.
