Exclamation Another Bad Day At The Track! Help Please!!!

Well I finally went back to the track thinking my problems were solved. My car was shifting hard and quick, I just put a new stall in, and there was no more high rpm backfiring. But I guess there is still a problem. All my mods are in my signature.

This was my best slip of the night
R/T .175
60' 2.028
330 5.912
1/8 9.140
MPH 76.08
1000 11.930
1/4 14.286
MPH 95.82

The car felt like it had no *****! It would launch hard but take forever to speed up! I felt like it was just sitting still. Anyone have any idea what could cause this?? Could it be a fuel or compression problem? IDK what to do now. Any help would be great!
Thanks

What was the temperature, humidity, barometer? What is the elevation of the track?

pboxfun:
Could the PCM have been retarding the timing severely because of noisy rockers or a bad tank of gas? Have you recorded a poor pass with Freescan or Datamaster to check for retard?

No i haven't yet I'm in the process of figuring out what i need to get to be able to datalog my car. I was wondering tho..what if i un hook my knock module from the block? Could this be a quick fix? till i can fix it? Or will it not work at all?

Don't unplug the knock sensor, that won't help ya. Take the time and check for burnt sensor wires, leaking headers and all the other small stuff. I took my motor apart and found 5-6 different reasons I was having problems at the track. Broken weld on the headers, burnt knock sensor wire, burnt 02 sensor wires, etc.

Temp and humidity have been been extremely high recently. You have to correct for the ambient conditions.

Unplugging the knock sensor (the knock module is not in the block, its in the PCM) will cause the PCM to constantly retard spark timing, up to 15 degrees, based on engine operating parameters. It will only make it slower.

While you wait for it all to show up, I'm going to guess that if you unplug the knock sensor and it doesn't get even worse, then you'll know a bit more about the problem.

haha Yea that could be one thing I could do. I think i'll try and get a fuel pressure reading. When I datalog the car what will it tell me about my fuel? or does it only tell me about my injectors

There is no feedback to the PCM regarding fuel pressure. All you will see that is fuel related is the injector pulse widths, the long term and short term fuel corrections and the injector duty cycle (DataMaster, and its sometimes "off").
