Need pics of your homemade LT1 CAI..

What size pipe did you use? and how did you get it to fit between the ABS control and the radiator?

Thanks
Steve

I used 3" PVC pipe. I bought a 3"- 3" coupler and used a Dremel to grind out some of the ID on one side so it would fit over the MAF. From the other side of the coupler, a 6"(guessing) length of 3" PVC to a 90 degree elbow. From the other side of the elbow, another PVC piece that was about 6" long to a K&N Filter. I used silicone to basically glue all the PVC pieces together, so far, so good. I also had to bend up part of the frame near the opening where the original filter was so I could get the K&N down there. I haven't taken it to the strip yet & I still need to paint it. I also had to cut some of the ID of the filter off so I could fit the PVC pipe into the filter. I should've gone with a 3.5" ID on the filter. I got everything at Lowes, since Home Depot didn't have any of the 3" ID pipe I needed.

Parts;

PVC 3" - 3" coupler $3
PVC 3" id X 10' sewer pipe (only way to buy it around here) $4
PVC 90 degree elbow $3
K&N RC-2530 filter $35

Total $45

I can post some pics later tonight.

Heres a pic

Its not pretty, but I figure I saved $100. I had to move the ABS so it would clear the hood.
