Need pics of AFR heads

Mainly I just want to see how much everyone has been able to lay out the combustion chambers...There's hardly any material to take out on mine with a 4.030 bore....

Thanks
Chuck

I bought them raw. Did I say anything about cc size? Nope... didn't think so.

BTW. For what it's worth, I'm not looking for comments about my heads. If you want to gauk, you can do so here. If you want to look, you can do so here. But if you want to talk, I'm looking for info on why the heck AFR casts these things for 2.08 valves when you can't even unshroud the combustion chambers around them. I've got .150-.180 clearance at .500 lift between the valve and the wall of the chamber right now. If we could unshroud them they'd flow tons better in the low-mid lift range... But after putting the heads on a 4.030 block we find out that we can't even hardly do anything to the chambers (the area's where they need unshrouding are already up against the bore). All we can do would be to cup them out around the valves. That's why I'm asking for pictures of other folk's AFR's.... because this doesn't even seem right to me. So if you've got pics of your afr combustion chambers I'd like to see them.

Thanks
Chuck

Not much you can do with a valve that large on a smaller bore. If you look at any of the older large valve 23* race heads from Pontiac, you'll see that they are basically shaped the same way.... large area on the high-flow side of the valve shaped to move the charge towards the exhaust valve. The proximity of the bore is something you just have to deal with. That's one place where running a cant to get the valve moving away from the cylinder wall really helps.
The trade off here is simple, you lose a little low-mid and gain up top. Judging from your previous post and the cam specs you posted, you shouldn't be too awful worried about bottom end. Gear and rpm. JMO.
