I find that hard to believe
maybe in a 1600 hp car?

1 pt in compression = 3%

thinner gaskets =.2 pts in compresion

you can do the math

i think hes talking about the impala SS head gaskets that TPIS is selling. i heard they were good for something like he said. the informer wasnt all that far off, assuming they are them. dont they bump compression up by 1/2 a point or so? i think if you did a CC305, heads, and a 100-150 shot (of course all bolt ons also)youd be damn close to 10's......there are a few people cracking into the 11's on stock headed cc305's. one of the guys is a moderator in the northeast section i think. also, look at racinlt1 who was running 11.2's on a bolt on a4 with a 150 shot. i think he had a 9inch (running ET streets) and a mild stall, but nothing overly aggressive. so anyone know how much it costs for this kit?

The thinner head gaskets that tpis sell are, .039 They are the same size as the felpro head gasket, which I'm sure they are the felpro head gaskets. Stock gm head gaskets are like 0.50 thickness. I have the impala head gasket, .028 thickness, with my head setup, I end up having 11 to 1 compression. Whether it helped to get the numbers I got, who knows, but I figured hey what the hell.

10's are a far far far far cry from 11's

I honestly cant see a 305cc and bolt ons being an easy way to get 10's.

I thinkin racin has some insane suspension setup through. He is also running progressive nitrous and a pretty nice sized stall if i remember correctly.
with enough suspesnion, gearing and nitrous,10's aren't a ways off- but then it becomes less and less street tame.
thats what made jordans car so great, he could daily drive it.

I'm pretty sure i could pull a mid 10 on the juice, ford 9'' 15'' slicks and ever suspension mod known to man, but then "whats a turn?"

ET's are in the suspesion

10s are a whole different ball game than hitting 11s. i would be in the 11s on spray in my car as it sits right now. but, i wouldn't be anywhere close to 10s. what is the price on the tpis kit and what are the specs on the zz9 cam? i absolutely killed a car that had a zz9 cam a few months ago but i think it was lacking the proper bolt-ons to compliment the cam.

trey- he ran that 11.2 long before he had the cam. when he ran his 11.2X or whatever it was it was the 9 inch, stall, bolt ons, he may not have even had headers and it was on a 150 preogressive shot. he may or may not have had all his suspension work done, im not 100% sure. what i am sure is is that he had stock heads and cam when he ran his best. hell, he didnt even have his hookers yet (correct me if im wrong dirk). and i was talking about 10's on nitrous, not NA.

Stock untouched heads/cam/tbody/intake,programming was adjusted to raise idle and play with shift points thats it.This car has never had anything but the stock cam.
3800 stall,9" stock torque arm,stock rear shocks,stock rear swaybar,qa1's up front,frame connectors,8 pt rollbar.
With a 150 shot and progressive that was set for a .5 second ramp from 60-100% 1.51 60',11.251@119.
Moser 9" hoosier QTP's.
Wasnt too far off from the 10's,and with new valve springs and a bigger shot the car would of run the number.

The car had gone 11.44@116 with stock manifolds/cats and a 3400 stall.

What the future holds noone knows..but 10's n/a is a goal.
