Need a new engine...do all 93-97 lt1 5.7 drop.

I am replacing the engine, in my 1997 z28, 6spd....but I was wondering do all the lt1, dating back to 1993 fit into an 97 with wiring, and computer... besides a 97', which is right before the ls1...what engine can expect the least adjusting to drop in? example: could a 94 lt1 go in without issue.?

Your best bet would be a 95-97 if you're going for a complete longblock.

The 93 had a different intake manifold.

The 93-94 had a non vented opti with a different timing set, timing cover and cam dowel that will not drive a vented opti.

If you get a 95 longblock with the knock sensor still attached, swap it with your knock sensor for OBD2 compatability.
