Need to know belt size for speed specialty alt relocation kit

well I got this kit and now I need to know what size belt to get. Sent them an email a few days ago and haven't gotten a response. I also ask the guy from michigan speed and he told me to "search the forum." They both sell the kit with an option to buy the belt on there websites but wont tell me the size of it. How nice. So is anyone using this kit that may can tell me the length of this belt? thanks

That's cool. I hope someone knows as well..I'd be interested in it. The only thing that bothers me the length of belt that goes from the PS pump all the way over to the alternator.
Keep us up to date!

If you want I can go home and quote my email I sent you. I stated that each one was different based on the setup you are running. IE...underdrive, overdrive, balancer. The ONLY sure way to get the CORRECT belt is to measure it. Then you know it is right for your application.

The sizes I said were on here were only what other people have had success with. As I suggested in my email, you need to measure it and go to a Napa type store. They keep belt sizes on a piece of paper and can recommend the best fit for your routing.

so I need to go measure it, yet speed specialty sells a belt already to fit? I'll be running all stock pulleys.

I guess I'll be going to measure it now. Just doesn't make sense to me that you make a kit like this and dont know the belt length for stock pulleys.

What the heck is the one they suggest. I'm looking for the belt length. what answer? I haven't read a single belt length with this pulley setup on this entire forum. I'm going to go measure and find out what it is.

thats what you have to do. the companies are going to not tell you because most people are to lazy to measure it themselve so they will purchase it through them. simple enough??

Ya but it really sucks that you pay $250 for a kit that I had to modify to get working and I can't get anyone from there to tell me a belt length which they already sell. simple enough?

If you elected to get the belt, you would have been told to measure it. They would have then gone to a Napa like store with the size and included it into the package. Damn, I hope you dont bitch like this when you have to change plugs.

I didn't know that. If you guys would have made it right I wouldn't be bitching

btw why does it have the "add belt for $30" in the checkout? So let me get this straight... they mail you the alt kit, you install it, then you measure it, then they go to autozone and get the belt you measured, and mail you the belt? Thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard of.

Re: Need to know belt size for speed specialty alt relocation kit

For future reference to anyone buying this kit:

Your going to need a 78 inch belt with stock pulleys, autozone PN: 780K6.
If you use the crank underdrive pulley(only) with this kit your going to need a 76 inch belt, autozone PN: 760K6.
