Ok, i hear great things about megasquirt, how much are they and how hard to tune, i am learning allot about EFI and think this might be the way to go.

megasquirt is a GREAT thing, they are fairly inexpensice, and are pretty easy to tune. I have a local guy that programs it, has a website and all. I can put you in touch with him if you wish.

just my two cents worth, the cost is high but a FAST system can make the world of difference. (fuel air spark technologies ) check e-bay, man my friend runs one on 2 of his racers and both are supercharged with nos running air conditioning.......my point is if you change the system(ecm) you can do all you want and tune and save programs for street or race ......all you'd need is a cheap laptop (old will do the job) then your limits would be tuning it or learning how...
i'm about to do the same to my 97 z28.......nothing wrong with the lt1 but have a 383gen 1 engine sitting there begging got about ten grand on the floor starin at me everyday i come home good luck and hit me up if you need more input...
