New guy at work has a retired police cruiser Caprice with the 9C1 package. What does this package have? Is it similiar to the B4C package on the Camaro? The guy keeps claiming it has 375hp, but the only mod to it is a flowmaster cat back. I thought these came stock with about 250-260. How does it compare to the LT1 found in the Impala SS, and would it be faster than the Impala. This guy is kinda getting on my nerves with the stuff he keeps saying about his car, so I just want some facts!!

I read about it on a site telling the differences between all the models, and no, It doesn't have 375hp. there are just a few slight changes from the publicly available camaros

 

I'm not talking about the Camaro, I know the differences there!!! See sig.!!

 

The Caprice 9C1 came with the same LT1 in the Impala SS
260 HP to the crank
2 bolt block
iron heads
Hey may have a variety of gear ratios from 2.xx to 3.23
Posi or open diff
That's pretty much all that will affect you.

It even possible he has the "baby" LT1 the L99 with 200 HP although not likely.
