Re: NEED TO HIT 12s

stall, LT headers, exhaust, CAI, plugs and bigger wires, possibly new opti and coil or msd ignition box, gears, rebuilt tranny w/ shift kit, 160 thermo, retune, tb airfoil....ummm...............k1.6 roller rockers would be good, nittos at that!

There is no "formula" for 12's. Especially if you want to do it NA with just bolt ons and no stall. Sorry but you won't get there.

You need to add long tubes, Y-pipe, 3200 stall and BFG drag radials to what you already have, and then you could probably break into the 12's if your car is in good shape and the track doesn't suck.

If you don't want to use a stall converter to help you get out of the hole faster, you'll need to work on the other end of the equation- upper range power. That is, you'll need a bigger cam. But you won't want to go too big or it will lose a bunch of low end and bog off the line.

So you pick it, converter or cam.

Re: NEED TO HIT 12s

longtubes, cai, pcmforless and gears got me to an 8.3 (12.90 i think) so you dont need a stall

Re: NEED TO HIT 12s

Notice he said pcm4less tuning, NOT Hypertech. Don't buy that, and if you did, send it back. It's not worth the money. Also, your 60ft is not good enough to get into the 12's. I bet Haskin Z28 didn't have a 2.12 60 ft. Some cars come from the factory with loser converters. I was able to manage a 1.98 on slicks with mine. I've seen people go 1.8's with them. It all depends.

Re: NEED TO HIT 12s

gears, pcm tune, drag radials, CAI, headers, y pipe exhaust, cutout, suspension mods, and a stall.

stalls are amazing mods for an auto, i highly recommend investing in one. i'll probably get between a 2800 and 3200 stall. not sure with the mods i'll be putting on it, though.
