started my 2000 chevy venture van with a 3.4L. For some reason it blew the oil filter seal off so I went down to walmart and bought a new oil filter and oil started it up and the same thing happened. I know this is lt1 tech but does anyone have any suggestions or heard of this before?? Thanks, Brandon

Any chance the the thread on adapter is stripped. Has it been to a quick oil change shop?

 

No it had 2500 miles on the oil that was in it when the filter blew off. I pulled the filter off and changed the oil and put it back on very tight. I then started it and let it run for about 10 seconds and the same thing happened again. I have no clue as to why it did this. It is a 2000 Venture with 120k.
