Need help with smog pump and EGR
Ok, i bought a 95 trans am LT1 w/ T-56 and its going in my 91 camaro. Engine is complete minus a smog pump and I can't find it in any store anywhere. I checked gm they want 130 w/ shipping. Screw that. I have a 91 v6 pump and I heard the lt1's are electrical so I guess that is a no go, so what can I do to pass inspection?
Some places do visuals here some don't, it just depends on thier mood, so im gonna assume they will do a visual. Any ideas? I would love to keep AIR so it would pass no problem, however im not gonna shell out 130 for a special order for something I don't even have a bracket for yet, and im pretty sure the bracket will run me the same amount
.
As far as EGR, I bought some SLP headers for my thirdgen, they don't have the EGR plug on them? If I plug the egr on the engine will it affect performance without it being taken out of the PCM? If not, do I have any other options? What can I plug it with if that must be done? Thanks.

There are so many people that remove their AIR pump, that it seems it would be easy to locate one (and bracket) in the parts wanted forum.
There are places that sell block off plates for the EGR ports on the back of the manifold (I can't remember who, but try a search). Even GM sells one for the valve port. Removing the EGR has no effect on performance, anyway. Your headers would need the bungs for the AIR valves, too.
