need help quick!

well my tranny is dead, so i was looking at 2 different types, a normal refurbished tranny, and a high performance tranny, the regular one is like 700 bucks, and the performance one is 1100, since i'm already dropping a new tranny, i'm gonna get a stall at like 2800 or so, if i did this, how much stress would it put on a normal tranny compared to the high performance, and would the high performance tranny be a better investment for my car. what is a good stall for the lt1's a vig or a yank? thanks ya'll!

i need to figure out what to do by tommorrow, so i need all you experts!

If I were you, I would swap in a t56, but thats just me. Go with the upgraded hd transmission. For $400 more, it would be a better investment I would think.

I would go with the performance rebuild and a 2800 stall.
Some like to go with a bigger stall but I am going smaller cause I want to drive the car alot and it just seems the higher stall while giving better performance might be too much to live with on the street.
Anything you can do to the auto tranny to make it live longer is a wise investment, that is why I suggest the performance rebuild.
