Need help picking a cam with ....

Start off with what I want to run high to mid 11's na. 95z m6
Car has stock t.b, 30#inj, lt's, 1:6rr's, no emmisions, cai, elec h2o,
free mods, flowcrapper exhaust.

Heads flow
.1 67/51
135/104
189/136
239/162
265/184
.6 273/194

Will have aftermarket clutch, 9" with 4:33's, or .56's
Mostly used for strip, with occasional weekend drives

I want to stay under 600 lift, would like to take it to around 6700, has the stock bottom end. If I think off anything else I'll post it.
Thought of running the gm847 cam, but what do you guys think.
Basically looking for duration, lift, lsa, and advance. Thanks

mid 11's, NA, 6spd, stock bottom end, rev only to 6600-

Daily driveable? if so thats a tough proposition but i'd say some AFR220's ported to hell and the higher lift 236/242 cam on a tight lobe serperation.

I would check out the 3rd page one of my posts in advanced tech called "using LSA to adjust powerband." rskrause bascially put cam selection in a nutshell

I haven't been able to sit down and read through it yet, but will do. I'm wanting to run 11.7/.8's. Also forgot it has the basic suspension mods tq arm, lca's. It will also go on a diet. Thanks for the reply, anyone else.

My choice would be the GM 847 camshaft 234/242 @ 0.050, .539/.558 lift with 1.5 rockers, .575/.595 with 1.6 rockers. I use it in my daily driver. My cylinder heads are Advanced Induction "Econoport" heads, not ported to hell AFRs or Stage III GTPs. The car definately has the power to run well into the 11s, I've trapped as high as 117.72mph. But until I get a stronger rear-end, I'll limit myself to low 12s with 2.0x 60fts. Details are in my sig.

I'm probably gonna go with the gm847 cam, but I was wondering if I'd be better off with a different cam.

Grease- Where are you shifting at, and what gear are you runnin.
Do you have most of the bolt-ons. I wish I lived a little
closer to Canton so I could see it for myself.

rev it to 6900

Na, I'd rather get atleast 10 passes out of it before it goes

I shift at 6200rpm. When I dynoed the car, the hp leved out at 6200. At 6800rpm it had only dropped from 412rwhp down to 407hp. I've played around with different shift points at the track, from 6200 to 6800 but all it affect was my mph, not ET. Not sure why

As for the rest of the car, I'm running 4.11s and I have all the bolt-ons. For suspension I have a spohn torque arm, LCAs, relocation brackets and subframe connectors. Its not enough because I still get tire spin even though I launch from idle and roll into it even with drag radials.

Once I get a 12-bolt/Ford 9" and some real tires I launch from 5000rpm
