Need help on modding a 93 Z28

I found a 93Z28 LT1 A4 hardtop 118 mi, that a guy says he will let it go for $2400 and the body is good shape but the hood needs a little paint and the car hesitates when you first take off and rides fine after it's get going, but my questions is what mods can I get or should get and what 1/4 mile time are coming from 93 z28, also would this be a good deal?

I hope it gets you to the track so that it can even attempt a 1/4 run.

I used to have that hesitation at around 1800 rpm taking off. It went away about the time I installed my fan switch which kept coolant temps lower. For 2400 it might be a bargain.
As far as mods they are the same as any other LT1 f body. Upgrade where you feel it needs improvement most.

You may already have this in mind, but not that the car is junk, but you need to address all the maintenance items first before you go modding.

O2 sensors are usually junk after 80k miles or so at the most. Belt, plugs, wires, coil, brakes & fluid and on and on and on...

If I waisted your time mentioning this stuff I apologize.

Good luck.

I agree. Don't mod that thing until you get it running 100%.

No waste of time, I appreciate all feedback, but I would get the car running 100% and I would like to do a rebuild on the engine but I'm not that familiar with the LT1's I,m still understanding my Superramed L98 but it seems like a good deal and I don't want it to get by.

Thanks,

i would say your hesitation is probably O2's or opti. Nothing too much that car is probably worth 2400 in parts. I would get it.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Do a full tune-up before you start modding. When you start to mod be careful to get parts for a 93, we are a bit of a bastard year and not everyting is interchangeable between 93 and 94+.

I'm on my 3rd 93 LT1 Camaro. I had one I put 220k miles on it and it ran 13.8s at the 1/4 with minor bolt ons only. This last one I got for $1900+ an old truck I had, from a guy in a financial bind over the car. Go get it for $2400 I would say.

Sounds like a good deal. The hesitation could also be dirty or bad fuel injectors, knew someone who had the same problem and changed out the opti, plugs, coil, wires etc... and it was the injectors all along. Enjoy it and good luck, my formula is the best and funnest car I have ever owned!
