I HAVE A LT1 SCANMASTER ON MY CAR AND ITS WORKER FINE FOR THE YEAR ITS BEEN ON THE CAR,,NOW ITS ACTING UP,,WHEN YOU TURN ON THE CAR THE DISPLAY LIGHTS UP FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN GOES OUT? IF YOU TURN THE CAR TO THE POSITON JUST BEFORE STARING IT THE SCANMASTER WILL STAY ON,,BUT ONCE YOU START IT IT GOES OUT AFTER A FEW SECONDS? ANYBODY EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM? IS IT PUKING ON ME? THANKS FOR any help,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,

 

DOES IT COME ON AT ALL WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING?? IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, I THINK MINE STAYED ON FOR A SECOND OR TWO AFTER I TURNED THE CAR OFF. MORE INPUT!

 

when u start the car it will come one and reads all zero's but then it goes blank,,,,,,,,,if you turn the igniton to where you get power but the car is'nt running and you hold the two buttons in on the scanmaster it will stay on and it like cycles through numbers on the display but if you dont hold the two buttons in it will just come on and go off in a few seconds but when you start it it comes on then goes off you cant get it to stay on when the car is running

 

If it initially comes on and then goes off, that can mean it isn't getting the data input from the PCM. If it doesn't come on at all at anytime then that is typically a bad power connection.

Doublecheck your data wire connections from the PCM.

 

it does come on,,,i will have to check the connections i guess,,,,,
