Angry NEED HELP, Laptop shut off during reprogram

I meant to say my laptop had shut off during a reprogram ,now no communication. Can it be reprogramed by the dealer or do I need a new pcm?

More than likely it will need to be reflashed. The dealer can do it, but it's expensive. madz28 on this board does it for a great price. You'll just have to live w/out your PCM for a few days while it's being shipped back and forth.

I don't think dealers can do it. I believe they have to have a new chip soldiered in.

Yes there are certain dearlers do have the capability to reflash the PCM. However I don't recall what the equipment is called. The one problem I've ran into is the dealer I was going to use did not have the ability to reflash an OBDI PCM. They only had the capability for OBDII.
Whatever the case may be, madz28 is the best alternative.
