I got the lifting hood syndrome, u?

I am getting **** about this Intake manifold leak crap that Lt1 engines do.... mine is not really bad but try this.... open the hood and stick your hand above the intake in the back and feel the rushing heat coming out from there

You should try grabbing the header while the car is running, pretty neat feeling if I do say so myself.

I purchased my Z in April, the previous owner had the intake repaired the previous month, so that saves me some trouble. I do pop the hood frequently though to give the header bolts a quick torque check with the open end wrench and to check the various other things.

Been there, became sober in a second, then 2 weeks had trouble using keyboard.

Get this.... I had my air pump recalled thingy done and whoever put my intake elbow back on, shoved it on like this aint my car attitude and the bottom was bending into the intake folded and not clamped on right... i was baffled and fixed something so simple if you take your time working on it myself..... gotta check other peoples work yall

Nope i don't have that problem. In the last few months i've pulled the intake and resealed it, i yanked the front timing cover and oil pan to replace the gaskets. I just got rid of my 8.8 and put a new pinion seal in before i installed the new 10bolt back into it. I power washed the underside of my car and for the first time in years i haven't had a drop of oil on the underside of my car.

It happens, even the best of techs. falter sometimes. That is why it is always a good idea to check over their work.

Not as bad as me, I had my car for long time before I noticed the bottom of the elbow was ripped.
