Need help installing valve covers?

Im gettin some chrome valve covers and was wondering what all HAD to come off to get them on. It looks like to me that the throttle adjustment is gonna have to come off for sure but im scared ill mess the adjustment up by moving it around. Also on the pass. side looks like the air hose is gonna have to go to but the other i think i can just move around without having to take it completely off. Do you think it will be safe to unbolt the throttle cable adjustment bolts from the manifold and block without getting it out of adjustment?

Don't worry about disconnecting the throttle cable. You won't mess up anything. But, you won't even need to disconnect it.

To change the valve covers, if I remember correctly, I only had to take out the alternator. You should be able to take everything else out of the way without removing it.

Also, depending on where you got your covers from, they might need some modifications to clear the alternator.
