I'm thinking about doing some modificiations here shortly as soon as the weather changes. The first thing i'm going to do is install a set of 3.42 gears into my stock rear end. I'm going with the 3.42's because from what I understand those are the best gears for an automatic that is driving daily on the highway and so forth. I want to keep with something streetable for the most part. After this, my next plan is to install ASP pulleys, a 2800 stall torque converter, and the gm847 cam on stock heads. Which do you think I should do first? the 2800 stall TC or the cam? I'm just curious as what to do first. I also have to get my PCM lined up somewhere in there as well because i'm still running on my stock PCM. Please let me know thanks.

 

Any of those would be a good choice. You will see nice gains from either. I would probably do the stall first. Might be a little easier, and from what I've heard, it's alot of fun.
