Need help installing crankshaft hub

It would seem I am having a difficult time pressing the crankshaft hub. I rented a tool from an autopart store and the 7/16-20 bolt isn't long enough to thread into the snout of the crank the hub gets in the way. Maybe i am doing it wrong but i don't think so is there ne way i can get this hub pressed in. 93' LT1 stock engine.

I used this guide and made my own. Made it incredibly easy:

buy a piece of 7/16th threaded rod and some bolts. It's the easiest way to install the hub. As you know the tool they rent is not capable of installing the hub.

All installation tools are on the same theme. There isn't a better way to do it. Make sure both surfaces are clean. A little oil won't hurt.
