Need help with high idle and late shifts please
I have a 95 Z28 that i bought a couple weeks ago (for 1500$)and i don't know much about the car but it seemed to be pretty cobbled up.i had 2 major exhaust leaks at the manifolds that i have fixed and a few cut wires and plugged vaccum hoses.I bought a manual and connected my vaccum hoses and fixed the broken wires.It had a high idle and the car would'nt shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd (automatic) untill 3500 rpm when i bought it.I replaced the IAC sensor and replugged my egr valve(i checked valve itself and still good) and put new egr solenoid but done nothing for my high idle.Can anyone please help me out?

I actually had a problem like that with a Lumina.
It ended up being a vacuum leak, and a small oil leak.
Because after I fixed the vacuum leak it still had High Idle.
But I also fixed the oil leak and it was fine.
